Art for Eichler Homes

Eichler Home

Eichler Home

The Happy Collective was brought in to dress up this mid-century Eichler home in Palo Alto with art and sculpture by Aaron Kllc and Myke Reilly. The tone was bold yet minimal with mid-century undertones. HC specializes in artwork for mid-century homes so they were very excited to create art for this historic Eichler home.

Happy Collective Bachelor Pad 2013

SF Bachelor Pad

We love doing Bachelor Pads!
Our busy client needed a complete makeover for his downtown apartment in time for the Super Bowl so we built this stylish sectional sofa using reclaimed shipping crates and custom cushions that we had made at a local shop.

2011-06-14 02.14.20

Our client in the Mission District of San Francisco hired us on to redo her 400 sq foot apartment and requested that all materials be reused or custom made from reclaimed wood and hardware. Aaron Kllc of The Happy Collective created this beautiful table out of discarded wood and broken furniture pieces. We found these 2 Hans Wegner dining chairs and pottery at the local flea market.

Myke Reilly at SF Open Studios 2012

Myke Reilly at SF Open Studios 2012

Happy Collective Creative Myke Reilly will be opening his studio to the public  the weekend of October 27-28 for Artspan SF Open Studios 2012.  See more of Reilly’s modern abstact paintings at:

or, on his new website:

http://mykereilly.com/

Myke Reilly, an abstract modernist painter and sculptor, was born in San Diego in 1961 and learned to paint under the guidance of his uncle, mid-century desert painter Jerry Reilly.   With his uncle’s support and guidance Reilly became a prolific painter at a very young age and spent much of his childhood and teen years in front of his painters easel.

In 1978, At the age of 16, Reilly moved to San Francisco where he attracted significant international success as a recording artist, sound designer, interior designer and digital media designer. He collaborated with many noted  artists of the period such as Tom Bonauro, Rex Ray and Charles Brown in the genres of sculpture, film making, and electronic sound installations. His dynamic sense of color and sound translated well into all forms of media and was supported by San Francisco’s exploding high technology movement.

At the age of 50, Reilly returned to the easel and created a stunning collection of bold and expressionistic modern abstract paintings which drew immediate attention from interior designers and collectors on the West Coast. He now lives between Buenos Aires and San Francisco and dedicates his time and vision to creating large-scale paintings and interior murals for an art and design collective in San Francisco named The Happy Collective.
